Chicago Vibe - Single

The latest single from vibraphonist Thaddeus Tukes. 

This ensemble is no coincidence. The vibraphone traces directly to Chicago through the J.C. Deagan Company, where Henry Schluter developed the Deagan vibraharp, first heard publicly in Chicago in 1927. The Hammond organ was designed and manufactured in Chicago, and over time the city paved a way tp develop the organ trio, a new concept in Jazz. Not to mention, the drum set took on a more central role in small-group jazz in Chicago, moving beyond its earlier march-derived function into a more interactive, single-person voice.
